Building a strong communications platform allows us to share our story through earned media. I have over 13 years of media communications experience, including media relations for issues and crisis communications. I managed media outreach for Navy Change of Command events and newsworthy activities including the campus relocation, athletic activities, new facilities, and scholarly awards. I managed internal media requests for information related to history, mission, biographies, operations, and base activities.
I received a commendation from the Commander of Navy Installations for managing the development of the Navy Public Affairs website which fulfilled the Public Affairs needs for installations around the world.
I received the ‘Behind the Scenes Award’ for media relations of the Blue Angles Airshow in Honolulu, with 100,000 attendance. This supported media coverage by all news outlets in Hawaii.
