The redesign, which also included a rebranding, was launched in mid-August 2017. Phase 1 started in October 2016 and included a redesigned homepage and main menu. Originally, they had almost 5,800 pages in Cascade CMS, not including PDFs. By the time they launched, they had reduced their total to around 600 pages.
The team started by making a list of their essential content, or content that was crucial for launch day. The project was very hectic, but luckily they had a lot of liberty to move things around. Ladegaard is the only member of the IT team that works in Cascade CMS and worked on this project, but he partnered with two members of the university’s marketing team to complete the project.
The Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH) “Wings Over the Pacific” air show featured the Blue Angels, the U.S. Navy’s world’s famous flight demonstration squadron. The airshow took place Sept. 27 and 28 on the Hickam side of JBPHH.
The Blue Angels flight demonstration used the F/A-18 Hornet aircraft to exhibit the choreographed refinement of skills possessed by all naval aviators.
Led design team and collaborated with leaders from 17 installations around the world in development of the Public Affairs website for the Commander of U.S. Navy Command - cnic.navy.mil. Content management system included websites for Naval District Washington, Mid-Atlantic Region, Northwest Region, Southeast Region, Southwest Region, Europe, Asia, Southwest Asia, Hawaii, Japan, Korea, and Marianas regions.
Led development of CD-ROM which ASCO was commended for stepping into the 21st century with its choice of marketing methods. ASCO is supporting its sales effort with the use of a CD-ROM that simulates operation of a 7000 Series controller, contains all standard drawings, and includes tutorials on transfer switches. This allows the sales force the opportunity to give clients an actual working visual on a laptop, as well as gives any interested end-user the ability to access the product from ASCO’s website (www.asco.com).
